Since its opening in 1975, this park has undergone constant name changes, from Busch Gardens: The Old Country, to Busch Gardens Williamsburg, to Busch Gardens Europe.  But its theme has largely remained the same through the years -- to reflect an old-world European culture. 

Always receiving high marks in the international amusement park industry, the park has garnered numerous accolades from best theme park, to best landscaping, best food, best shows, and cleanest park, to management and operations.  Along with its 2007 and 2006 awards of "World's Best Theme Park," from the Theme Park Insider Awards, in 2005, the ride, Curse of DarKastle won for "World's Best New Theme Park Attraction." 

Recently added, Christmastown glistens with over a million lights and will surely be an added venue for those looking for holiday festivities.
